The agriculture industry in Zimbabwe enjoys some mechanization from land preparation, planting, growth, harvesting and post-harvest and as such the country should explore mechanisms of enhancing agriculture mechanisation and uptake of tools and equipment that enhances productivity and competitiveness.
Globally agriculture has gone technical across multiple tracks ofSmart Agricultureincluding AI, Cloud Computing, precision farming, big data, Deep Learning, Edge Computing, Embedded Vision, IoT, Machine Learning, and Cyber Security.
In Zimbabwe smallholder agriculture needs to mechanise appropriately and quickly move with the times so that we are able to find effective tools and equipment and mechanization solutions, technologies, programmes, products, services and options.
